This archive contains three deb files that need to be installed. Then just run zsnes via terminal.
zsnes-1.337-netplay-debian.tar.bz2
I found the old debian package file on this page,

collected the missing outdated debian packages
http://archive.debian.net/
and removed the uneeded dependencies from the package.
